1984

Current IMDB Rating: 7.2/10
My Rating: 9.0/10

I have to say when this movie started I wasn't too excited about it. But with each scene I felt myself becoming more and more involved with this sad world. Around every corner you are being watched, there is no way to get away unless you go to certain parts of the world that are rebelling. Even in that case you could be watched, and let's face it, you are. By the time the movie ended I found myself loving it, every frame told a story that was all too close to truth. I haven't read the book, but I'd imagine the only people who would have a problem with this movie are ones who expected something more after reading the book. I can say the movie stands on its own and is wonderful in its own right.
